Man I never thought I would ever do it.... Step into a country bar that is....
My wife, who I affectionately call, "Woman" just happens to be a country fan, and Chris Cagle was playing tonight in Ocala... So.. Guess who got dragged, kicking and screaming along for the ride...

Well when we got there, I immediately had to hit the bar to numb myself from all the "Rednecks" in this place. We had the wanna-be cowboys, the wish-they-were rodeo stars, and the normal joes just trying to pick up some drunk poon on a weekday night. I do have to admit though, there was some pretty prime, grade a poon running around there.

Man this place must have been packed with everyone in Ocala, mostly, thank God, tits and ass. I think I would have had to kill someone if I would have had to been packed up against Bubba the Greasy Cowpoke.

I will say this though, the man put on a great show, even though I try to stay away from the pop country scene. I do enjoy the occasional Brad Paisley song, but then again, the man CAN play some sweet guitar... and since I had my lovely wife on one side of me, and a gorgeous drunk blonde on the other grinding herself on me :) I guess the whole experience was worth the twenty bucks I had to fork out...
I mean I didn't have to keep feeding the blonde dollar bills to get her to do what she did SOOOO well...

Guess I will be going to go to more country concerts after all... :)
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

LMFAO!!!

I try to stay away from country too. I hate the twanginess and enormous cheese-factor of that style of music. Although when a woman has her mind set on something, there's generally no stopping it :). I do like older country sometimes, like Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, etc... They're great to listen to if you're drinking brown liquor and feeling down. This brings me to a question though. Musically, what makes country country and rock rock? Choice of scales, phrasing? I'm talking cliche' sounds here on a general scale.
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

Hell the s**t he was playing tonight seemed more like rock than country to me. I don't know what makes it country except for the fact you got to have a pedal steel whining in the background and a fiddle in every song. Give me good ol hard 3 chord rock anyday.

Country chicks are hot! Lita Ford and Pat Benetar can't hold a candle against Shinia Twian and Faith Hill.

Now that I think about it there are some ugly arse country chicks too. Some missing teeth, and some just butch as h3ll!! Depends on what bar you go to. I just hope you didn't drink enough to were Ru Paul would have looked good to you..HAHAHAHA Just messing with you.

There are some good country guitar players, and some of the stuff they do on the fiddle is really sweet too. Like Charlie Daniels. Also I know alot of country players use the blues pent scale alot, and even though I don't "" dig country, I do like that scale alot. Especially when the minor blues pent gets old.

I'm disturbingly good at country/honky guitar.I think because the pentatonic scales feel natural to me...not sure.Hate the stuff though.

Before I moved to Wisconsin I never had to worry about hanging out with someone who listened to country music or worry about the bars I frequented playing country. It was either a hard rock (slayer metallica acdc etc....) bar or a blues bar.

Now I live in Wisconsin and everywhere I go someone seems to be playing country. I only have two good rock-n-roll stations to listen to on the radio. IT SUCKS!!!! I went to my wife's family reunion and wouldn't you know the band started playing folk and country. By the time it got late enough to where they did start playing classic rock I was so drunk I couldn't even enjoy it.

The worst part about it is the other day I heard a song from
Kenny Chesney "No shirt, no shoes, no problem" and I liked it. What is happening to me? I actually liked the song and there wasn't any tits or ass around to help me enjoy it. Well now I got the song going through my head. I head better finish up and go listen to some Black Sabbath.

Be careful out there guys....try and stay strong!!
