can you record without cakewalk? using windows sound recorder or something? if you can do that, then you have a cakewalk question. if not, you have a basic recording question. please give us more info.

Hey Jon, yeah i can record with sound recorder through windows, but that records through the microphone and the quality sucks, i have an adapter that plugs into the speakers on my computer through the line out in my guitar amp and i get sound out of my speakers and i thought thats how you recorded through cakewalk. Any more questions just ask.
