I think i can help you, your talking about the high e is louder then the rest of the chord, like i over powers the rest of the chord.

well their is a couple of things, 1. The high e string gauge could be bigger then the rest of the strings, cuz bigger strings mean big better tone. 2. It could just be out of tune. 3. you could be hiting it too hard, try playing soft until the ring stops then slowly pick up the power.
