Not really sure what you're asking... Do you mean that, when you play an Em chord, the high E string rings out? 'Cause that's normal and OK.

If you're just a strummer, then you'll soon learn that you're "aim" with the plectrum doesn't have to be perfect; the rhythm is more important.

Maybe if you can rephrase your exact question, someone can help you out better than I did!
