I think if people kill themselves over music(or if parents suspect that)they're stupid and probably troubled in the first place.
But to blame it on such non-depressing band like blink,(i dont like them either)is just probably because the parents dont like the band or are sick bastards that think they can sue the band and get thousands of dollars.
That's just my opinion.
