Ok, you may think that I want to know who would win in a guitar battle: Hendrix or Clapton. If you want to tell me that, than yes, that's what I want to know. But I really want to know who would win in a battle of YOUR choice. Anything from all out street brawl to mexican jumping bean chicken fight match. WHO WOULD WIN?
If I could be a solo...I think I'd be Eruption...

Jimi could, or would if he could, kick Claptons arse in anything.

Jimi, definitely Jimi.

Even at lawn darts, or water polo, or cricket.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

Jimi would definately win the acid consumption contest. But I thought Clapton was a cokehead, not a smack-addict.

Aside from that, I think Clapton would win the guitar competition too.

Who would win in a fight between Jesus and Gahndi?
Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel.

Jesus man, he's got divine power. All Ghandi has is fasting power.
I want the bomb
I want the P-funk!

My band is better than yours...

HENDRIX would be the man standing last. Clapton had seen the footage from the Monterey Pop Festival, he couldn't attend it, and as he was watching Hendrix play the ending to the song "Purple Haze" his guitar was out of tune. Clapton yelled to the screen, "Now what are you going to do now?" Hendrix started to play "Wild Thing" and went wild playing behind his head and then played another song, "Strangers in the Night" and even went wilder. Then he smashed the guitar and the did his famous seen and set it on fire. From what I read after it was all done Al Kooper was quoted as saying, "What Jimi did with that song was so amazing, and boy, did he shut Clapton up." After the showing Clapton was speechless. So I think if you ask that question to Clapton even he would agree......HENDRIX!

If you are interested in reading the article I read it and got this imformation from GuitarLegends Jimi Hendrix Live
"I use heavy strings,
tune low, play hard and
floor it. Floor it.
That's technical talk.
