Hello

I'm also interested in replacing the pickups on my guitar. The question is....if I have passive pickups, is it even possible for me to look into active pickups? Would I have to cut a slot to keep a battery to power active pickups? And furthermore, are active pickups that much better than passive pickups..or am I better off just buying really expensive passive pickups rather than going through the hassle of having to accomodate a power supply for active ones?

thanks!

My thoughts on active pickups, same as the Lordathestrings, the day I can't play my guitar because the batteries are dead, is the day I quit playing guitar.

You can get the same tone out of any passive pickup. Look around at some websites, most of them have sound samples.

Good luck.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.
