Greetings all,

I just recently bought my first Stratocaster, a Player II Modified.

It seems like it’s going to be a good guitar. I love the sound of the noiseless pickups, and the ability to have all three pickups active is really nice too. Plus the treble bleed…well, it just sounds great to me, anyway.

Since this my first guitar with a tremolo bridge I was wondering, is it okay to leave the arm on when it’s in the case?

I tried leaving it on but the top pressed the arm down, even with it at the 4 o’clock position, so I removed it for fear of damaging the bridge.

I prefer to keep all my guitars in their cases when I’m not using them. But I don’t think I’m gonna like threading the arm on and off every day.

What do you veteran Strat owners do when you put yours in the case?

Any other tips or suggestions regarding the care and feeding of a Stratocaster will be appreciated as well.

Thanks for hanging with me!

All the best,
Steve

I play the guitar because I like it…not because I'm good at it

Congratulations Steve, I love my Strat and would probably say I am a Strat guy more than a Gibson guy.

I play mine as my go to everyday guitar so it spends most of it's time on the stand. But when I am going to a friends house I take the arm off.
