Where to Start

After so many recommendations, I just had to try guitar tricks. I am 76 and I’m looking for structured lessons with a distinct pathway to becoming an intermediate guitar player. I would say that I am a late beginner and I know and can play all the open chords. I’ve just been checking the website out and I’m a little confused as to where I should start. I am interested in playing both acoustic and electric guitars. I like pop, blues and some folk music.

I have only signed up for a free trial till I can where I should start and what courses/ lessons I should take. Can anyone help or offer advice.

This is ambitious Dave. And not to be insensitive, this is a lot to take on at this stage of life. 

Have you thought of talking to a good teacher who can review where you are at, what you see yourself doing, and what is realistically achievable?

This site has tons of resources, you just need direction on what to do. I don’t know if Christopher gives lessons but you should definitely reach out to him. He has his own forum.
