Just picked us up today, The Strat on the right. I was actually going in to buy strings, but the color of this guitar caught me and that was it.

It's a 2001 fender Stratocaster made in America and of the three that I own, one Mexican, one other American, this is hands down the nicest. So it does appear as though 25 years ago there was something different in the guitars. The weight is 8.4 lb which is heavy for a. Strat, my Mexican is 7.6 and my other American is 7.4, and the tuners are the best of the bunch, being ultra smooth with no play whatsoever and the pickups are the richest and fullest sounding.

Looking at the guitar, I can't imagine that anyone even played it. For a 25-year-old guitar, it is as close to immaculate as you can imagine.

You got some cool gear there, dude. I love that cream color and the white pick guard.

Thanks for reading, and be safe.

Absolutely beautiful Bill! I love the American built Strats. I have a 1998 that I wouldn’t sell. Thing always stays in tune and it’s not a hard tail.

Enjoy!!!

That’s very cool Mike. I’d love to try one of those. I read in “The Stratocaster Chronicles” that the guitars changed in 2000 just to keep up the marketing but your model had been in a run for 13 years. Pretty impressive.
