Memorizing the Fretboard?
Ive been attempting to Memorize all the notes for quiet a while now, which I want to be able to do before i move on to learning all my major scales, seems like its taking forever though, anyone have any suggestion or tips maybe they used to remember all there notes? Thanks for any info.

it's a lot easier if you do it while learing the Cmaj scales. say the note as you play it. it's not hard, C D E F G A B

To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

I found it easy to learn where all the natrual notes(abcdefg)were first.Then the sharps and flats were just relative to those(up or below a half step).Learning the notes while learning the c major scales would make great sense.

Thanks guys :) , i thought about that since the C Major is all natural notes i just didnt want to cheat.

There is no "cheating" as long as you learn the notes, it doesn't matter how you do it.
A good tip to remember is that the notes on the low E string are the same as the notes on D just one whole step from the fret they are on E. (thats confusing look at the diagram)
Like for example:
A

b|------------
G|------------
D|--------7---
A|------------
E|----5-------
This is the same for every string. When you reach the B or high E string it moves 1 1/2 steps.
So now A would occur like this:

b|----------------10----
G|----------------------
D|--------7-------------
A|----------------------
E|----5-----------------
Also once you learn the E string you know both E strings :D
Here's some more examples:

I knoticed the Octave Jumps, theres two sets of them, the Full step than the 1 1/2 step. Thanks for the suggestions again.
