Don't mind that random dryer sheet! It was laundry day.

So, I got some feedback about my picking hand and was told to play with my hand open on the bridge. I've been working on it all week, as much as I can. Mike Olekshy suggested I open up my picking hand for rhythm work, and I did. I have been keeping a metronome playing in my left ear and working on 16th note tremolo and alternate picking, and it's becoming smoother and quicker with less pick scraping. My palm mutes are tighter and cleaner than before. I just about got all the rhythm work for Angry Again by Megadeth worked out to include the chorus with an open hand.

The hard part this week has been the bilateral epidural I got in my back for nerve pain a couple of days ago. My practice sessions have been much shorter, but I am looking forward to ripping through some tracks and new lessons next week when this flare-up passes. 😁

I'll be looking for the right lessons this weekend to start next week. I also spent the time ordering some new Seymour Duncans for my guitar. I ordered up a TB-6 Distortions for the bridge and an SH-2 Jazz set for the neck. Getting that tone dialed in and the poles lined up with my strings. It's going to be pretty cool.

Thanks for reading my post. I hope you all have been staying positive and working towards your goals.

Thanks for reading, and be safe.
