and I got my first Guitar at 12 and am just good enough to have a lot of fun with it and yes this is the best place I have ever found have already picked up on a few kick butt licks and tricks I love the blues and there is a lot here to learn so away i go to do just that ....... Later :D

LOL I know what you mean man...running joke though. I think we should define "meatlic" as a guitarist who plays the same lick every time...kind of like George Thoroughgood instead of..well...what it sounds like (a licking of the meat).

OH Good, Thank God you had me worryed there for a lil bit(ROFLMAO)But at my age and thanks to those darn 60's it hard for me to remember a lick long enough to play it more than a time or two so no prob. there :confused:

lol. "Meatlic" comes from the way "The Other One", a member here, tried to spell the word "metallic". What's funny is the fact that he was spelling the word "metallic" about yet another member on this board "Metalic Dude", who we have been comparing him to, who himself couldn't spell the word.
There are many funny occurances like that one, here on guitartricks.

Yeah...I've had those moments. Like I saw this new mother walking around with her infant in a stroller, and I said "That baby looks delicious." And this other time, I saw this fat guy in leather pants and I said "Hey Meatloaf!" But it turned out that it was Meatloaf, and he played "bat out of hell." And this other time, I saw this chick...and I coulda sworn she was pregnant...turns out not so much.

Incidents, isn't there some striking resemblence to 'The Other One' and 'Metalic Dude' ???
Check out the posts, same bad spelling, and 'The Other One' shows up at the same time 'Metalic Dude' leaves.
*cue twilight zone music*
And in a recent post, 'The Other One's' response to my saying, "I doubt Metalic Dude will be back" was "You never know he could be around here as anyone."
Weird, or true.
Fact or Fiction.
Ponder that for a while.
