I just got back into the groove after a six-year hiatus. I learned by ear originally and was always practicing the wrong way. After graduating from college at 34, I was ready to play again. I sold my transparent blue Mockingbird NJ Series and bought a used white body Jackson DNKY pro that needed repairs. I enjoy playing Metal and have been following Mike Olekshy's classes and practicing music theory with Chris Schlegel. I practice about three to five hours a week.

Lately, I've been chasing tone. I'm still using my old Line6 Spider IV and was on the fence about getting a 15-watt 5150 LBX, but scrapped that idea. Too expensive, especially after getting a cabinet for it. So, I ordered two 2x10 Rajin' Cajuns to swap out those awful speakers in the ol' line six. I like older gear because it's affordable, and these new speakers will be a massive upgrade to my current amp.

I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences and learning from everyone here in the community. I plan on participating in the forum a few times a week. Thanks for reading, and be safe.
