How to proceed after Fundamentals 2

I'm working on fundamentals 2 beginner course. I need a lot more work for chord shapes and moving between chords. Example, I'm on lesson 4 and there are 9 chord changes repeating throughout. I will be here for quite a few days where I work slowly on my own, metronome, watch the video slow.

I'm jumping ahead a bit but the last lesson is #7 - where to go from here there are different intro types of music. Would that be ok for someone like me as I can see it will take time for me to be able to comfortably work with chord shapes and switching. Or review another fundamental 2 course after I finish my current fundamental before - I move to ch7 where to go from here.

Would appreciate some guidance as if my chords/switching is not working easily do not move to ch7 ?

Hey, Bob.  William offered you great advice that I'm going to second.

It's a great idea to look ahead at those lessons on different styles of music.  It will help you figure out what path you want to pursue going forward.  And it will also show you the skills and ideas you need to work on to get that style under your fingers.

Learning guitar is a constant process of review and refinement.  So expect to keep coming back to practicing basic chords and gradually getting better as you also explore new material.

And use your current skills to learn and play songs at whatever level you can.
