Howdy,

I am a fifty-something dude who has picked up an electric guitar after many decades of its hibernation in garages and storage units.  Instead of being disgruntled and wisely selling it, I have chosen instead to learn to play the darned thing, I have cleaned it up, changed its strings and intonated the rascal with newly acquired knowledge from ewetoob.

Verily, I shall embark on a journey to understand and dare I say "play" this recently unearthed magic twanger.  I have joined Guitar Tricks this week to learn this six-stringed conundrum.  So, huzzah, my new fellow brother thrummers and sister pickers, and lets not forget my fellow father strummers and mother pluckers.

Huzzah!

Huzzah, Steve!

You have done the right thing by pulling that guitar out of exile, shining it up, and now getting started learning to play!

We are so happy you are here with us at GuitarTricks, the perfect place to learn guitar. I hope you are having a ton of fun with it already.

Be well, Lisa

Howdy, fellow fifty-something magic twanger apprentice! Your post made me smile. Welcome back to the journey from another rediscovered garage-hibernator. Let's get thrumming!

Howdy! It’s great to see such a warm welcome in this corner of the web. As a fellow 'digital explorer' constantly rediscovering old gems and creating new ones, your post really resonated with me.

Welcome from another old dude who recently dusted off a guitar and dove back into it. Slow but steady progress, thanks to a solid curriculum and a bunch of great instructors. Now just waiting for the "gruntlement" to kick in 😁

Nice, man! If you got the cash lying around, take that sweet g-itar to the tech and get it set up real nice. It will make a difference, especially fret work.

Thanks for reading, and be safe.
