Another one to add to the list - hello to all!!

I’m based in the UK, have been “musical” for a majority of my life, starting with the clarinet (my parents made me do it) then moving onto Bari sax.

ended up playing drums for ages until life and neighbours made it harder to store / play / move etc.

Never really thought about a stringed instrument, so bought a banjo of all things, not quite my wife’s preferred sound so that’s a work in progress, but…….picked up an old Cort acoustic and, and I have to admit, I started on Simply Guitar, which I quite enjoyed.

The algorithm kept pushing GT at me and it looked a bit more professional, so switched over a couple of months ago. I’ve settled into it now and am starting to find my way. Thoroughly enjoying it, although I absolutely suck, but, progress is progress.

Not a huge forum user, but trying to make sure I get the  best out of this experience.

Cheers all

Welcome to GT! I also started with an old acoustic and found the most important thing is to maintain a practice routine, even if it's just 10–15 minutes a day.
