For the 1st time, I had an AI generated song pop up into my song feed on YouTube Music. I know it's AI is because as soon as I heard it I put it on repeat and added it to my Blues Playlist - and I wanted to break out the chords so I could play it, and I also wanted to know who "Sam Dad Radio" is?
So I looked him up and he is very straight forward in saying he uses AI to generate music, he writes the lyrics but he uses AI to do the rest - I do the same btw and I think it's fantastic.
His channel is getting in the 10s of thousands of plays for some of his songs. This is big stuff, I think. The world of music is changing. For better or worse, I am not sure, I think for the better in my case, because AI has allowed me to put together songs that we (my jam mates) like to play and sing. And from a student of the guitar, it has made me a better player because I have to learn the material that AI gives me. At this point it does not provide a tab sheet, so every song we want to play has to be transcribed out - which has greatly improved my ear training. And frankly I am not sure I would want tabs at this point, transcribing music is proving to be a great way to learn more about music than just using tabs.
You can see by the screen shot today, it just appeared with main stream songs
