First

Is it cool that I post a link to your response - here; so you have context for this post - or would you prefer I keep that private?

I want to clarify something...

as preface for a question...

that will affect my next submission.

other option:

would you prefer I clarify in the comment section (of the unlisted vid) and ask my question there?

edit:

lol... or I could probably just reply to the email alerting me... that would give you context as well

anyways let me know what works best for you

so I don't think I actually need to ask my question

but

it'd be cool if you clarify what the best way would be for any follow-up communication in regards to feedback.

...

the clarification was...
The reason the backing track isn't coming through in the recording is because I was listening to it with headphones
Basically performing (harmonically) naked (no place to hide)

I was going to ask if it would be better for me to have the backing track heard; or if I should just stick to what I'm doing and keep that out of the mix so to speak

but

I realized:
Playing to a metronome wouldn't really give me anywhere to hide harmonically

AND it would be better if I only performed from memory rather than visual or auditory reminders from a backing track.

So I'm just going to do that next time and see how that goes.

Hi Robert! To answer your first question, you can certainly reach me here in the forum (as you've done!), but you could also simply reply to the feedback@guitartricks.com email as well. I understand that I couldn't hear the BT because you had it going in headphones only. It would be helpful for me to hear the backing track with your playing, but it's not totally necessary.  Go with whatever is most comfortable for you! Hope this helps!
