Hello from Kansas City

Hi I am brand new here. My name is Jacob, I live in Kansas City and am 32. I picked up guitar in my early 20s and got to a point where I would say I was intermediate. I learned open chords, barre chords, some triads, scales (but never really learned how to solo) and a few songs. I never really had a road map and so I just kinda just stopped playing. My favorite guitarist is John Frusciante from the Chilli Peppers (I've seen them live five times) I would say he was the reason I picked up the guitar (and am picking it back up) in the first place... There's just something about his playing where the notes he chooses really land well and so whether its him or anybody else that is melodic I will probably resonate with. I just bought an American Strat, so I'm looking forward to picking the guitar up again and hopefully I can stay on track.

We are so glad you are here, with the goal to pick up where you left off with playing guitar some years ago, and set about really growing your skills so that ultimately you may have a similar relationship to the guitar as John Frusciante, in the sense that he places the notes with intention - not out of chance. You too can learn to do that.
