Yes, as Christopher said you are doing fine. I have and still do jump around from here, YouTube etc - anything music.
Don't be worried about keys, it will come, in fact you will find that most of the songs you want to play are in only a few keys.
Meaning in reality, for most pop / rock songs of our generation at least, you really don't need that many chords.
Keys just mean certain chords and scales work together to make music we want to listen to
But here is a fun thing if you want to try it. We all have a natural key - mine is G but I can work with A as well. What this means is that when I sing - my voice is most relaxed in these keys. Just hum a hum - like "hummmm" and then try and find the note that harmonizes with your voice. Don't try and make your "hummm" match the note you are playing. Just keep your "hummm" steady.
Whatever that is, is where you will be most comfortable when singing.
This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!
