Does anyone else like Blink-182?
Isn't Nirvana grunge... I don't who really cares lables suck anyways. I got to touch (I wan't supposed to) a sex pistols guitar at the hardrock cafe in baltimore I was drooling. I haven't washed my hand since... well ya I have. THAT IS NOT THE POINT. DUN DUN DUN green gummy life savers.

To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

When I saw them on the Sno-Core Tour, opening for Primus, they were actually solid, interesting, and funny. I almost went out and bought Dude Ranch, but then I heard their stuff off of their next album and decided they didn't need or deserve my support.
There are worse bands out there, and I really got nothing against them, so I keep my mouth shut.

I don't really care for Blink. But I also agree there are worse bands out there *cough* Beck *cough*. Pop punk just isn't my bag of tricks.
I do like "Stay Together for the Kids" though, it's not the normal pop punk song.
Does anyone else notice that like almost all the Pop Punk bands singers sound like they have postnasal drip? That annoys me.

dude you mite not like the music beck plays but you have to admit hes alot more talented than Blink 182....i personally think Beck is great...i've seen him in concert before...he can play all sorts of instruments...and his music and songs range so much..he combines alot of different styles...Pantallica dunno why the **** you dont like Beck but for me, Beck is one of the more talented guys out there and i think his music is great....

Maybe it was just the night I saw them, but hey every band has bad nights. I later heard they were good when they toured with NFG 2 years ago. that does stick in my mind though. If anything "damnit" was pretty catchy.
To say something before we have another full-blown forum war about whose good and whose bad. Try to think and remember everyone has a opinion of what sounds good and what doesn't. And don't get so seriously offended when someone doesn't like the music you like. No one's gonna be anounced who's right and whose wrong so you'll be wasting your energy fighting about it.

Beck is horrible. Who cares if he can play a billion instruments, he can't play any of them correctly. His guitar sounds out of tune on every song I've ever heard by him.
This is the reason why music sucks so bad these days. We have people like Beck getting signed, when there are legitimate bands out there that are GOOD.
Oh well, I guess I'm a loser baby, so why don't ya kill me.

Oh, and with everyone who is dissing my music, and thankfully none of you have tried this yet, DON'T EVER TRY TO GET ME INTO METAL OR TRY TO COME UP WITH A REASON FOR ME TO STOP LIKING BLINK...it won't work.

if you're looking for positive comments, my sister likes them.
i however find them boring, i do not connect to all those fun oriented bands like blink or sum or good charlotte etc., and the music just doesn't have the intensity and power that metal has, it's a completely different use of guitars.
but hey at least they don't hold their guitars lower than their knees like Sum body....

I actually like Beck. Not quite enough to buy an album yet, but I can listen to his stuff and generally like it. A good friend of mine though saw him in concert and was very impressed.
He's a Berkeley guitarist if that tells you anything. If it doesn't, I can inform you that he's easy one of the most diabolical musicians I've ever seen.
Again, if this thread is starting to tick anyone off, it's probably time to take a small vacation from looking at it: We're all humans here and we all naturally like what we like. We also have an instinctual response to tell those that don't agree with us just where they can shove their opinions after packing them in a large cardboard box wrapped with shark skin.
Still, we all have brains so lets not allow our instincts to get out of hand, huh?

Other One has been writing comments similar to that one quite a bit lately. I recently told him about the etiquette around here, reminding him not to become another Metalic Dude. Hopefully, we won't have to deal with another one of those cases.

More tolerant and open-minded? C'mon, you went nuts on people for their personal opinions. You don't practice what you preach, my friend. What you don't realize is that by going nuts on someone for their personal opinion, you are not tolerating their opinion. You are not open to their opinion. See what I mean?
It's all pointless anyways, if someone doesn't like a band, or disses a band, there's no point in sticking up for the band; you're just wasting your own energy.
