So I've completed the 2 fundamentals course and am on with blues 1 - at no point are we told to try a song from the library suitable to the stage we've reached ....


am plodding on with the course - 2 months in and havent learned a complete song yet.....

Sorry for your frustration.  If you look at the landing page for the Fundamentals courses you will see a list of recommended songs after the appropriate chapter.  See here:

The instructor can't mention specific songs in the context of the course due to licensing issues.


If you are learning blues, then try this one!

If you don't like that particular song, then try another from the blues library.

I totally get the frustration, it’s tough when you’re putting in the work but not feeling that sense of progress. Maybe try picking a simple song you love and work through it step by step, even if it’s outside the course.

Keep pushing forward it will come together. It can feel challenging and frustrating but it will reward you in the end if you stick with it. Plus everyone learns at a different pace. I have been frustrated many times but I know the reward is worth effort. Just stay consistent with your practice. Even on days when it seems it’s not making a difference, rest assured it is.
