Is it worth the $99?  It depends on how many of the songs you like and want to learn.  You're correct in saying that the song library isn't up to date, and it probably never will be.  If you search through these posts for the last couple of years, you'll find GT was deceptive in their posting of new songs.  They finally, grudgingly, admitted they wouldn't be adding new songs.  For me the answer is NO it's no longer worth being a member because from the time I joined back in 2008 they've deleted about 500 songs.  It could be worth it for YOU to join for a year if you like the songs they currently have but don't expect to see any new ones and there's always the possibility you could still lose some more once you've joined.
