Forgotten more than I've learnt over the years.

Started (several decades ago) whilst on secondment in the US for 6 months with time on my hands. Bought an Applause (Ovation) for $100 and made reasonable progress. Came back home, started lessons and then just faded away.

Started with GT recently and loving it. Trying to learn to play an electric which is a challenge plus I'm struggling with using a pick.

The lessons, and the speed of progress, reinforces my new found motivation.

Just need to keep steady progress (without rushing out to buy yet another guitar 😆).

Phil (from Cheshire, UK)

Welcome Phil,

A theme I can relate to. Remember, you only need just "1 more guitar" so you're almost there.😉

Best of luck!

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

I always thought we should have a group specifically for guitar addicts.

Hi, my name is Sascha. I'm a guitaraholic. I've been clean now (no new guitars) for two years. Walked by a guitar store last week and wanted so bad to look in, but managed to avert my gaze. Still playing every day and still suck.

And so on...

Hey William MG, did your avatar lose a few pounds? Looking pretty buff!

I’ve been clean for almost three years now. I have dabbled in amps but haven’t fallen back in the guitar hole. It is hard because GT is on the same internet as Sweetwater and somehow I almost always end up there being tempted and struggling with the urge. I helped a coworker buy her first guitar a couple of weeks ago. I got to play several different guitars and point out the good and bad and help her make a decision. I guess that’s like a contact buy but it’s not the real thing.
