Can you briefly discuss the guitar-chain gear used in the lesson? I assume it’s an amp with a little reverb and maybe a boost pedal? Everything kept a bit low to maximize the expressiveness of the guitar changes.
Thanks!
Hello - thanks for the kind words!!
Yes I used a Marshall style tube amp set for a light crunch sound. Dial in your sound so that you get a nice crunchy overdriven tone with your bridge humbucker and guitar's volume knob up 100% (like the Chorus section of the practice tune). That way, when you switch to the neck pickup, the tone will clean up a bit, but still have a bit of grit at 100% of your guitar's volume knob. Roll down the guitar's volume for the verse arpeggiation sections, and the sound should clean up even more.
I did not use a boost pedal or any other effects, except for kicking in a Chorus modulation effect in the chorus sections of the practice tune.
Hope this helps!!
