After weeks of procrastinating, I have just taken the plunge and signed up for my first year.

My name is Paul and I live in Winnipeg.

I first picked up a guitar when I was 11 or 12. It was my brothers and, without books or tuition, I managed the play 'God save the Queen' on one string. That was 50 years ago! Since then, I have had many guitars, most of them ending up as wall art. I buy one, with the best of intentions, try some courses (I have tried Rocksmith and Fender among others).  Frustration with lack of progress and staying motivated are my big issues. So here I am again, ready to try and learn this instrument that has become a sort of nemesis for most of my life. It has taken me 6-months to pick up the guitar again and become focused enough to try again. I am optimistic and relish this latest part of my musical journey. I am glad to be sharing it with you all!

Wish me luck!

Looks like we are in a similar boat.
