Hi,
I have an ES-335 (copy) and I would like to change the originals pickups.
What do you think about the Golden Age humbuckers?
How can them be compared with the Gibson PAF 57?
Thanx.

Well I don't have any experience with their humbuckers but I have used their single coils and they are very good and the price is great, the PAF style pick-up is the most copied pick ever, and it's no secret on how to make a copy of one, so I'd say they probably sound very close to the Gibsons and cost alot less, the burning question is would they sound drastically better than what is already in your guitar now? we don't know, and no matter what pick-ups you choose, you'll have to be the judge when it comes to how they sound. Alot of times when buying new pick-ups, people will get ones that sound drastically different or ones that sound very similar to what they already have, either one can be a disapointment depending on what you are looking for, and I'd have to say that new pick-ups are alot like a food you have never eaten before, you won't know if you like it until you take a bite, hopefully you'll find the cherry pie and not the brussel sprout......
