I come every Friday morning to see what the new Song Lesson will be for that week on Guitar Tricks. It has now been 4 weeks since the last (non-classical) song lesson was published. So we’ve now gone from a preponderance of mostly obscure Rolling Stone songs each week to…      …nothing. I know licensing has been a challenge to say the least, but I think a month of no song lessons merits a little explanation please.

Thanks.

Hi dougguitar,

Sorry we haven’t had any new song lessons to share recently. We have been focusing on improving other areas of our content library, and we have plans to add  some really fun technique, style and artist study tutorials this year. These areas of Guitar Tricks haven’t gotten as much attention as the song library in the past few years, and we’re so excited to share what our instructors have been working on.

We are sticking to our commitment in releasing new content every week so users always have something new to check out. You can access all the newest lessons HERE.

If you need help learning a specific song, you can request to learn any song you want with a 1 on 1 lesson HERE and we can also help you with personalized feedback HERE.

Kind of a horse crap answer to Doug’s question. It went from a new song every Friday to new content… this site is woefully on its way out. I’m guessing the Stones library is exhausted  of material.
Thankfully there are many options out there, especially in the state that GT is at now.

I agree 100%.  I'd be nice if GT just admitted that for whatever reason they're unable to provide us with songs anymore.  I'm not here for new and exciting techniques, I'm here for new and exciting song lessons.  Just a matter of time before GT crashes and burns for good.

Thanks.

Probably checking with the Rolling Stones to see if they have any songs left for GT to use.

Sometimes, a backlog or a reorganization of the content release schedule can result in temporary gaps in new material.

It is getting ridiculous! Having been a member for many years, I have done all the song lessons I have wanted to or the one's I wanted too have been removed. To make a comment that we should book a private lesson with GT is scandalous! I can get a one to one lesson with a local guitar teacher for that price. I dont want to learn the Rolling Stones back catalogue!
