hey guitar tricks.

1 of my main goals is to play many many chords around the guitar so i can build chord progressions for songs.

I'm just about finished with fundamentals 2 with lisa.

where do you think i should go to next . im thinking of blues would be the best option to expand my knowledge on chord playing?

im also finding it a bit boring changing chords on its own. i feel like i need some inspiration to help me with my chord changing.

i love using bar chords. bar chords an the sounds are just my favourite.

i would love to jam with songs that mainly use bar chords or chords that arent just in open position.

what songs would you recommend for great bar chord practice an a bit of inspiration?

thankyou

Most of the Ramones tunes are basic power chords throughout.

Some of the Nirvana songs are mostly strumming chords.

These two Judas Priest songs are mostly power chords.

You can usually just substitute barre chords for any power chord & skip any lead section by playing the rhythm guitar part or chords that accompany the lead.

And you should probably check out the songs made easy section.  Even if a song uses an open chord, you can just substitute a barre chord version of that chord.

There are probably more modern songs that you can do this with too.

Hope that helps!
