How Do You Play the Guitar with Your Teeth?
I just thought about it and realized that it would be a really cool thing to learn. But I tried it and im not very good. Like do you pick it with the back of your teeth or the front or what?

I wouldn't play with your tongue if you have an electric... it just doesn't seem like a very wise thing to do. If I see a headling in a newspaper "MAN KILLED BY ELECTRIC SHOCK THROUGH TONGUE FROM GUITAR" I'll know what happened though.

LOL - naah - its not like there are 5000000 volts running trough your guitar - the pickups produce a VERY low electicity - not even enough to kill a fly.

its pretty simple.. you take good aim, then hit your grinning face against a sharp edge like stairs or something. then you pick up the teeth from the floor and voila! teeth-picks!

I remember posting this question long time ago after watching Ynwgie do it on one of his shows. I remember someone telling me to pick the string then use the tongue.. wait no, maybe its the other way around. Hit the string with the tongue and fret with the fingers. The important thing is after I heard the replies I never tried on my guitar.

I think Hendrix faked it, personally. He used enough distortion that he could have just used hammer on's and pull-offs, easily faking it all.

How to play with your teeth.
first of all, think twice about really doing it, because your teeth _will_ get damaged.
first of all, keep youre eyes closed, if the string would burst, you dont want all the tension to be released in youre eyes, trust me.
lean the left side of the guitar body to youre shoulder.
(sorry if ive gotten left and right wrong :) im swedish u know)
and bend youre head to the right side, so youre left foreteeth is pretty much like a pick.

this might save you some pain.
its pretty simple really, just play something like smoke on the water on the top E

practice it first on a acoustic guitar with thoose soft strings and your teeth wont get as damaged as with a elecric.
a bit more advanced: a piece from yngwie malmsteens black star (u can see him playing it with his teeth in the hot licks video)

if u wanna do it even harder try tremolo picking with the teeth.

Keep in mind that Yngwie and other famous/infamous teeth players most likley have the money to fill there teeth with platinum or other choice precious metals.
