Doesn't seem all that long ago... A long stretch of my Late teens/early 20's were spent around here. How does everyone enjoy the site?

There was a time when this site was solid gold with the greatest instructors teaching all the songs I loved when I was in my teens and early twenties. I could and would spend hours learning and jamming to those songs via those great instructors and the unique way this site could/would feed me. Every week there was a new song to go after and I was loving every bit of it. During Covid when the country seemed to shut down, I doubled down on my learning and jamming. That all came to a screeching halt when they dropped hundreds of songs (most every one was a song I’d learned or was trying to learn- mostly classic rock) and then things went south at GT. Seems uncanny to see the shift to where this site is today. Like the philosopher Joni Mitchell once said, “you don’t know what you got till it’s gone”

I no longer enjoy this site at all due to the numerous times they've deleted songs.  I stopped my automatic subscription but at the last minute grudgingly signed up for one more year only to finish learning the songs I've been working on.  Hopefully they won't get deleted too. Unless things at GT change drastically, for the better, this will definitely be my last year here.  Sadly it's no longer the great site it once was unless of course you plan on being a Rolling Stones cover band.

I left GT as well, after many years, I felt like I was throwing my money away.

How being a part of GT is making you throw money away?
