Hello from the Bay Area (California_

Total newbie here, scored a free Fender CD60S guitar and decided to learn how to play.   I'm learning much later in life and I wondered why I waited so long to learn, especially considering my oldest brother has been a professional for over 50 years.   Looking forward to the journey and participating here when I can.

Welcome to GT.  I think there is no better online site for a beginner... intermediate players too.

I spent 5th and 6th grade In Mountain View but that was a loooong time ago... pre-Silicon Valley.

Thanks!    I live in the far East Bay but worked in the Mtn View/Palo Alto area for about 10 years.   I was about a mile from Stanford.    

I agree, after doing a lot of research, I feel this is definitely the site for me.
