Actually they do..You just haven't looked hard enough. :D . alright here i'll try and explain. To mute the strings pull off you fingers just enough to mute them. Do not do a complete pull off. OR you mute it with you picking hand. Like a palm mute. Just mute the string the same time you hit it. (Like a palm mute.)
