Hi im new to this forum, and i just want to let you guys know who i am, lol, my names jamie from staffordshire in the west midlands, im 14 years old and ive been playin guitar for jus over a year, im interester in buying the Ibanez EDR470EX, if anyone has one or has played on one, can you give me any advice about them, are they good for a first fixed tremelo guitar, are they good for tapping? any feed back is well appriciated

I havn't played an Ibanez dude, although they are great I prefare gibson, thier necks are just so confertable and the frets are smaller and all that...

DUDE lol, ive played on a gibson too, i dont know what it is about there necks, i dont seem tht comfortable using the through necks, i have a fender strat, and i love using the bolt on neck, i want an ibanez so i can make those really cool sounds with the double locking tremelo, my guitar teacher has 2 steve vai guitars and another ibanez so i sorta get the encouragement from him, so if any1 else has any knowledge of the guitar i want, jus let me know please

First, Welcome to the forum! Second, I haven't played on that model, But i've playing on many different ibanez's and i've never found one i didn't like.

The only reason i can think of that that guitar wouldn't be good for tapping is if the pick-ups are weak and the action sucks...and I doubt it. I say just go find one and try it yourself. If you don't like the way it feels and or sounds don't buy it. Good luck guitar hunting!

It says on thier site that the pickups are custom made ones so i dont think tht they wud be that weak, and if the action is bad, i'll just change it until i can tap on it lol
