I wont suggest using a metronome here but if youare using it I think you need to make 4 note after 1 beat, tik 2 3 4 tick 2 3 4 get it? DUDE!

I don't really like practicing with a metronome. Get the midi file for your tune (www.midi-tab is quite useful there, only backing tracks in midi format)and practice to the GROOVE.
Metronome ain't got no groove man...

Metronomes in general will help you speed your playing up intime, my suggestion would be to get down parts of the solo, play it slow with a metronome make sure you get your notes out clean like they should be and speed it up little by little than you will be able to play it dead on. hope the advice helps.

yeah this would have been a good advice, but i`ve already learned the solo without metronome, and i think it´s getting accurate soon. But i don´t know if I´m in right time, and if i play it with a drummer, if I´m in the false rythm or whatever. This really considers me. So to learn that, i should practice with metronome(right?),so when i want to play the whole song with metronome, how do i know what tempo the song is, and so i can adjust for example 206 bpm. But also when i know what the tempo should be, I don´t know if that´s what I´m playing to the beat is right or wrong.

If your problem is "am I in time with the song structure" and not the accuracy or speed, get a midi file (here, I'm a nice guy. You have a Zip right there: http://www.compassnet.com/~jsimmons/metallica/Master_Of_Puppets.zip )
Take out the lead guitar in it, and practice over the tune... Thanks who? Thanks me :)
