Man, I need to read your post aloud to understand them :)

Try doing the same warmup exercices, but incorporating some string skipping (yeehah)
Also, legato those alternate pick licks, and the other way around too.
Play different rhythms (5 notes per beats, 7, etc... Shawn Lane is a master at this)
Play only with downstrokes... Try playing those licks as fast as with alternate picking (I'm kidding, but try improving your speed, you'll be a shredder soon)
Last but not least, start your alternate pick licks with an UPstroke... That's quite different huh?

I like doing fast trills around the fretboard. Like 5tr7 on Low E. Than i'll do it in octaves. Or like 5tr9 on High E. Try doing that and holding it for two minutes. Don't go fast, Just try and keep it constant.

DUDES! I think speed is a matter of time...but you need to worm up to do some exercises...Right?

Well, you warm up by playing slow and increase the speed little by little. If you need warmup (wArmup :) ) get the book "rock discipline" by Petrucci, a whole section is about that... It's based on atonal sounding crap like:

----------15----------15----------12-------------------
-------14----------13----------13----------------------
----13----------14----------14-------------------------
-12----------12----------15----------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------

Then, you might play something like

----------15----------15----------11-------------------
-------14----------13----------13----------------------
----13----------14----------14-------------------------
-11----------11----------15----------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------
etc... Changing the stretch between each finger.

Actually i was suggesting a warmup.hehe.Thats what i do. Also does stretches. You DON'T want to end up with tendonitis.
