You have it wrong, Other One. It's

I'm most likely getting a guitar from Matt within the next year or so. I'll be using Jerry Garcia's electronics, basically, with a few changes (Master Tone instead of 2 Tone; 3 Humbuckers instead of 2 Humbuckers and a SC in the neck, etc)
Keeping it relatively simple on the surface is important, which is why I may change my layout from 3 Coil Splitters to One Master Coil Splitter. It would go like this.
-------------------
3-Way Coil Splitter
-------------------
Position 1.) All- Humbuckers. - This means that whatever pickup I've selected, it will be a humbucker. Considering that Coil Splitting isn't done very often, this would be the position it'd be set at mostly.
Position 2.) Neck + Bridge Coil Split. - Middle Pickup remains humbucked, Neck + Bridge are coil split; If I had the pickup selecter at either Neck/Bridge, it would be split.
Position 3.) Middle Split- Neck and Bridge are Humbucked, Middle is split.
-------------------
It's a concept idea; I could even have one "Master Coil Splitter" switch, splitting all three humbuckers, or keeping all three humbucked. This would result in a guitar with these electronics
1 Master Volume
1 Master Tone
1 Master Coil Splitter/1 Three-way Coil Splitter
1 Five-way Pickup Selector
1 Effects Bypass Switch
I've simplified my electronics on the surface to the point where I could make them more 'hi-tech', such as the StarrLabs Digital Pickup Selector w/ LED lights. I would consider this if they didn't take up so much goddamn space (they are meant for stratocasters, mostly). I'm still changing everything around a bit, working with different ideas, etc.
