A friend told me that the new Ibanez locking trem system keeps tune even if a string snaps so their tuning stabillity must be awesome. Does anyone know anything about them? When can I get one or for how much?

If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

this new locking trem is the ZR model, with an in-built trem setter. yes it holds position even when a string snaps but the idea isn't new. this trem is default on the 2003 S-series Ibanez. it's a neat idea, it works, but it adds considerable weight to the S-series guitar. i have no idea if it's available as a spare.

You can buy the tremsetter device from http://www.stewmac.com .
I have been using them since the 80's.
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?
