At the moment, I'm sitting about 30 miles away from my record collection, so I can't give you specific instructons. But I can give you some general tips on how to dial-in a sound.

Start out clean. Get as close to your target sound without effects as possible. Then add in just enough distortion. Then add in any short-timeframe effects like flanging or phasing. Save reverb, slap-back, or chorusing for the last.

Trying to get it all at once can be just too frustrating to handle, but if you crack it a bit at a time, you can usually find what you're looking for.

Good luck!

cool cheers handy bit of advice. il remember that coz its sometimes hard to be so methodical with a multi effects pedal.. sometimes i wish i had the seperate pedals just to make that sorta thing easier...

anyhow i still need some advice on what effects are used on whos that lady... because once you get past distortion,chorus,delay,wah... im lost.... and they will no doubt be using thinys i dont have a clue about like flanger and octive deviders and things.... in fact.... does this web site have a guide to all the effects and what they do?
