Repaired Neck
Hi, Just got a gibson les paul standard at a discount price because its neck has been repaired. Just wondering how stable it is. It was professionaly repaired by a luthier and looks all sturdy but i just wondered if you should bare in mind the previous break and go easy on it. Am i allowed to bend the neck?

Is bending the neck really that bad?!?!? The crack is at the top of the neck, looks like is nearly went all the way through! I dont touch that bit when bending the neck tho, i bend it below that so its not straining the previous crack!

Slash broke his guitar neck and got severely injured once because of neck bending.
Since you don't use trem bars , I suggest you do the trick by slightly detuning the string from the machine heads and putting it back in tune (takes a little practice to get back perfectly in tune) ... Pretty safe and cool , the only disadvantage is that it's not gonna work with more than one string.

Hmm... Well the guitar sounds and looks awesome to am gona keep it. I was pretty annoyed tho that the seller described it as a crack when its a break. I dont bend the neck a lot, only on a couple of songs!
