everything, but i'm mostly referring to it's inability to return to the zero point... is there anything i can do to make the correct setup hold better?
ibanez fans will tell you that the TRS trem is to be avoided. it's a budget trem the company equips on their enty level guitars. the TRS & Edge/ Lo-pro edge are discontinued WEF 2003. if you want zero-point return accuracy, the new ZR bridge (check out ibanez's 2003 S-series offerings) would make you happy but be warned that this trem adds weight to your guitar.
i have no idea if the ZR trem will retrofit your guitar, i don't think it's avaiable as a spare yet. but it'll definitely involve some additional routing in your trem spring cavity. IMO it's not worth it. i'd rather you get a guitar with the ZR already in as a default trem.
floating tremelos are a pain in the ass too. I had a charvel once the same on i got this name from...its funny b/c i hated that guitar. always messing with it, the strings are a pain to replace to. and in all accuallity you can almost do the same **** without a floating tremalo.
