Jimi Hendrix was revolutionary , and the most influential guitarist ever , even more than Jimi Page and EVH (since he influenced both!) .
You can't call a revolutionary guy "overrated" , while some of his successors get same or more credit than him. Also remember that it was only 4 or so years , that he changed the way guitar was played , and for good.
