well - i talked to a Sopran- Singer last weekend who sings alot of stuff all around germany in various ensembles - she has 3 octaves and she said that the absolute maximum you can get out (only a few gifted ones can) of you voice is 4 octaves - thats about it. that is quite amazing - i mean - imagine to sing EVERY note you can play on a 24 fret guitar - thats 4 octaves.
