I love this rig. Gear is cool but I think most of your sound / tone comes from your mind and fingers. Sometimes ZZTop will pull into a city and buy cheap
junk from a pawn shop and play it at their gig. They still sound like ZZ Top
regardless of the gear.

excellent point there. sound tone does come from your mind and fingers.

Mine was a squire strat with a frontman practice amp, I killed it about 3 months after I bought it and the shop I buoght it at refused to fix it. But I eventually found another and am now playing a PRS with Yamaha amp. I think my next investment will a Gibson LP.
