yeah i used to uses those sharp pointed jim dunlop tortex pix but just got tired of them i loved useing really hard picks i used the blue tortex picks until now that i realized the give a real scratch sound so moved to softer picks and then again it depends on the way you hold the pick and attack the string also. my friend had bought some picks that were made out of quarters off some web site i dont really like them but its something different and they busted a couple of my strings dam thing so i think ill stay away from brass and stainless steel strings
