I just recently bought this pedal at a Long & McQuade outfit and they charged me $220 Canadian (before tax). I thought the retail price for this pedal was much lower. Do you guys think I got ripped off?

Doesn't $220 Canadian translate to about $19 US?

I can't say for sure, but it sounds steep to me. Did you try to shop around at all?

As far as I know, Long & McQuade is a pretty straight up outfit, and wouldn't have ripped you off (too much). And I'm sure that if you find a lower price, they'll match it. Also, you have 30 days to return the thing, even if you've used it.

Can you tell I love Long & McQuade? I don't work there, by the way, but I would love to!

Oh, and Rask, the exchange rate is up a bit these days, so $220 CAD is now about $19.01 US.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Sorry, Rask and I were just having a little bit of fun at the expense of the value of the Canadian dollar. It's OK for me, since I'm Canadian, but I'm deeply hurt and offended by Rask's comments.

Anyways, the current exchange rate is about 0.75 USD to 1.00 CAD. That would mean $220 CAD equals about $165 CAD.

Sorry to disappoint you, TK, especially if you were planning a shopping spree bonanza over here.
