forget 8 finger tapping, harmonics, acrobatic chord shapes and classical stylee arpeggios etc. for my money nothing beats a good ole heads down filthy dirty head-splitting rock n roll headf**k. brain crushingly loud guitars, drums that sound like a tropical thunderstorm and vocalists that chew gravel and broken glass for breakfast. trouble is I cant find that many that fit the bill. AC/DC and Motorhead come to mind straight away. best though were AC/DC stablemates Rose Tattoo. their first album 'Rock n roll outlaw' was a classic beast of a record that could eat most Metal for breakfast. thing is I need to find some more. any recommendations? please no Norwegian death metal!

i reckon his stuff with Sugar was even better than his Husker Du days. 'Beaster' is a monster that'll shake the foundations.
