Hi there folks,
I wonder if any of you could avise me on what would be a good computer programme to record guitar music on, manipulate it (very radically, ideally in real time on a Midi basis) and do crazy stuff with looping etc.
I have heard that Medsound is really cool but very cheap, anyone used it?
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

Cakewalk - many products , but Sonar is no1 .
Cool Edit - easier to handle than Sonar.
Acid - nice too .

I'd say you go check the sites first , see the specifications and features in each one (probably you can find a demo version to download too) , see what you need and go for it.

you'll pay a pretty penny for it, though (if i remember right).

There's nothing wrong with Cakewalk Guitar Tracks 2...give the trial run a whirl, see if you like it.
