Zep Covers

I'm in a band with only one guitarist, but we want to cover a Led Zeppelin song. The problem is, Page always double or even triple tracks the guitar, so i'm not sure how a song like Rock and Roll would sound without that background guitar. Let me know what you think...

Check out the new live version of Rock 'n Roll on "How the West Was Won". Any time you wonder how a song can be played with only one guitar, a good rule of thumb is to find a live version.
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Yeah that´s right. Also it´s great when a song orginally has fade out, you can hear how they do it live. Usualy cool ends. Rock N´Roll should not be a problem for one guitar. There are harder ones.
PS. Anyone who can play Page´s Heartbreaker solo. That´s pretty difficult.

Heartbreaker solo is very cool , but Page usualy mess it up live ... His playing in studio version also isn't clean enough , but still cool.
I like to play it very clean anyway cuz it sounds better IMHO.

Do you mean those bends at the solo's intro ? I do them with the ring finger then strech a little and pull-off , I think that's how Page did them.

Hell don't worry about double to triple tracking in songs. Just take 'em and make 'em your own. Stick to that and they will always come out cool in the end...
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?
